The American 2-dollar bill is considered rare because it is not as widely circulated as other denominations. It is estimated that only around 1% of all U.S. currency in circulation is made up of 2-dollar bills. This is partly due to the fact that the bill is not as commonly used in everyday transactions, leading to fewer being printed and circulated. Additionally, some people may mistakenly believe that the 2-dollar bill is no longer in production, further contributing to its rarity. **
